Directions to our Sites:
500 block of Troy Drive, Madison, WI 53704
*Site for Troy Land & Gardens, Troy Community Farm, and Troy Kids' Garden
By Bicycle: If you are coming from the east, the best way to get to the gardens is through Maple Bluff. Wind around Maple Bluff (take Lakewood Blvd. to Farwell Dr., avoid the bluff by cutting through Butternut and then back onto Farwell). Farwell turns into Woodward Dr. Go past Warner Beach on your left, and turn right on Marcy Rd, which ends at Troy Drive. Turn left onto Troy Drive and continue, the gardens will be on your right.
5017 Sudbury Way, Madison, WI 53714
*Please note that the Youth Farm is located on land near Kennedy Elementary on Madison's east side--not at Troy Gardens.
From downtown Madison: Take E. Washington Ave/151 north, toward Sun Prairie. Turn right (east) on Milwaukee Ave. Continue on Milwaukee Ave about one mile past Highway 51. Turn right on Lamplighter Way. You will see the green Goodman Youth Farm sign as the road curves left onto Sudbury Way. Parking is on the street.
Community GroundWorks Office
3601 Memorial Drive, Suite 4, Madison, WI 53704
*Note: Our office is not located on the land at Troy Gardens. We are up the street in the Mendota Mental Health Institute Campus.
From Troy Gardens: Continue on Troy Drive until you see the sign for the Mendota Mental Health Institute, turn left into the complex. Travel .55 miles down the Main drive (you’ll pass the administration building, Lorenz Hall, and Lorenz Hall Annex, all on the right). The drive then curves sharply to the right. After the curve, the road turns into Memorial Dr. The first right turn is the entrance to our parking area (bldg. 14). There is a sign at the parking lot that says “Building 14.” Turn into the parking lot, and park by the back. There is a sign at the entrance of the building that lists Community GroundWorks, and you can call our office using the phone on the outside of the building.
