All You Want to Know About Trees -- Tree School!

Please join Community GroundWorks and Urban Tree Alliance for a 5-week series about our local trees and forests. Classes meet on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 at the Lakeview Public Library and Troy Gardens; all classes are FREE! Registration is required.  See below.

The classes will feature:

  • Ash tree ID and EAB Walkabout, September 10* rain date September 11, OUTSIDE at Troy Gardens, 502 Troy Drive.
  • Tree Care 101: planting, watering, winterizing, maintenance, September 17, OUTSIDE at Troy Gardens, 502 Troy Drive (rain venue: Lakeview Public Library).
  • How to Choose a Tree: the Importance of Species Diversity, September 24, Lakeview Library.
  • Bringing Life to Dead Trees – valuable products from local urban wood, October 1, Lakeview Public Library.
  • We are the Lorax! Become a Tree Ambassador and speak for the trees through citizen campaigns. Learn how on October 8, Lakeview Public Library. 

Class venue varies weekly – details will be sent to participants after registration.
