A Weekday Visit to Troy

By Kate Sullivan, Community Gardener

It's not often I can be at Troy on a weekday but today was different thanks to vacation. Our garden sure needed a drink. I had time to walk most of the perimeter of the area and see the beauty of the nooks and crannies of the property. I observed Claire and her team harvesting spinach on the farm. An intern I met told me this was the last spinach harvest of the season. She also said the interns spend many hours weeding this time of year. Despite the weeds, I hope to find time to help out on the farm. I stopped to read any signage I passed taking in the blue sky and the many smells wafting by. What a way to spend a morning.
