SEEKING TREE LOVERS!

Are you a tree-hugger and Lorax fan? Become an Ash Ambassador to promote healthy forests and environmental stewardship. Learn about EAB, options for Ash trees and leading projects in an area of your interest.

Being an Ash Ambassador means:

  • Making a positive difference to Dane County forestsLeading a project to promote trees

  • Meeting new friends

  • Becoming a valued part of Dane County’s forestry network

  • Opportunities for additional workshops on tree identification, urban forestry, community engagement, etc.

  • No previous tree experience necessary - just a love of trees!

FRONT YARD FORAGING FOR WEED CUISINE: June 17

From the yard to the parking strip, in city parks or along municipal thoroughfares, food is abundant and free for the taking! Many weeds pack a greater nutritional punch than store-bought vegetables, and it doesn't get any more local than your own front yard! Come join Melany Vorass Herrara for a 'weed walk' at Troy Gardens to learn how to identify these plants and to get tips on how to prepare delicious meals with them.
