A Great Day in the Gardens!
CAC Garden Days was a gorgeous day at Troy Community Gardens. Gardens all across Madison celebrated together on the weekend of September 14-15. At Troy we had cider making, cooking demonstrations of tasty Hmong food, tours of the land, kid activities and a truly terrific number of door prizes. You'll probably enjoy reading our CSA newsletter even if you're not a member of Troy Community Farm. Our farmers write well, and you can find everything from recipies, to the future of food, to a sneak peek at what it means to be an urban farmer. You might even increase your vocabulary, adding words like tomato-nado and headuce.
Check out this season's Urban Roots, generally posted Thursday mornings.
