Troy Gardens Day Camp

June 18th - August 10th, 2018

Calling all 7 to 11-year-olds! Come play and grow with us at Troy Gardens this summer! We will explore the winding prairie paths, build forts in the forest, grow delicious food and prepare yummy snacks together in the garden.

Garden Chefs

June 18-22 [9am-12pm] $215

July 16-20 [9am-12pm] $215

Future foodies - this camp is for you! It's time to chop, mix and cook. Be a chef this week as we harvest and taste fruits and veggies straight from the garden. We will spend the week tending the plants that flavor our foods, learning and creating yummy recipes, and making our very own book of recipes to take home!

Permaculture for Kids

June 25-29 [9am-12pm] $215

This week, immerse yourself in wildflowers, beetles, and trees, and learn how mimicking our natural world can help us grow and gather delicious foods! We will explore plants and soil up close, observe nature's patterns, and create beautiful works of art. Permaculture experts - Kate Heiber-Cobb and Emily Anderson will lead this engaging and fun-filled camp.

Movers and Shakers

July 2-6 [9am-12pm; no camp July 4] $175

July 23-27 [9am-12pm] $215

Can't sit still? In this week of meaningful movement and music in the garden, you don't have to! Climb a mulberry tree, practice garden yoga, or dance to the beat of your own drum. We'll construct musical instruments from natural materials, make music and groove together from the Mulberry Music Grove to the prairie grotto.

Art in the Garden

July 9-13 [9am-12pm] $215

August 6-10 [9am-3:30pm] $350

Get ready to be inspired by the many colors, scents and textures growing around us in the garden. Relax, write poetry or try your hand at a new culinary creation. Take home nature collages, garden costumes, and beautiful bouquets. The week concludes with an Earth Art Show featuring our garden inspired creations.

Garden Animals

July 30-August 3 [9am-3pm] $350

Join us as we feed our resident chickens, visit the honeybees, and inspect the compost pile for signs of life. Whether we are building habitats, practicing camouflage, or cheering on our favorite invertebrates during Worm Races, it is going to be a wild time!

Optional Friday Family Picnic

Families of campers are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy together after camp each Friday. Be sure to have your camper show you what they have planted in the garden, introduce you to the chickens, and give you a tour of the CSA farm.
